With wide speading of the bottle-type Joule-Thomson miccocryogenic
systems used for cooling sensitive elements of the detector devices in the
viewing and sighting systems, the vital problem of refilling the emptied bottels
with a cryoagent -high-purity gas- has arisen.
The paper gives the comparison of methods used to produce a cryoagent
of the required quality, the analysis of well-known foreign refilling means from
the point of view of their circuit solutions and technical characteristics,
proposes the concept of arrangement of the home air generator specifying its
composition and technical characteristics in adreement with the consumers.
The basic requirements specified the generator make-up were combination
of mobility with sufficient capacity; autonomous operation; simplicity and convenience
in use and service.
The generator consists of power unit based on a combustion engine;
compressor; purification system and bottle-filling unit. The expected generator
technical characteristics arc as follows:
1 | Capacity, nm3/h | 1.5 |
2 | Max. outlet pressure, Mpa | 40.0 |
3 | Number of bottles being filled simultaneously | 2 |
4 | Max. number of bottles of 0.751 capacity filled per hour | 5 |
5 | Expected mass, kg | 95 |
6 | Expected overall dimensions, mm | 700X500X600 |
Besides the above points, the developmemt problems of the autonomous field air generator and different design variants of its units are discussed.
