The investigation of the ion energy distribution at the cathode fall region
of glow discharge in
argon, nitrogen and oxygen

The energy distribution of positive ions striking the cathode in glow discharge has been measured for argon, nitrogen and oxygen. The model of charge-transfer collisions for the motion of ions in the cathode fall region was discussed. The model functions calculated with measured potential distribution were compared with experimental.
