Some problems of designing the electron optics of the electron-optical image converter with fast-speed picture scanning are considered. Comparison results of electron-optical characteristics of particular structurally equivalent electrostatic and magnetic lenses are presented. They can be used to focus the picture in these electron-optical image converters. It is shown that for the case of narrow-format electron-optical image converters the electron-optical characteristics of magnetic lenses have a negligible advantage as compared to electrostatic ones. For the case of wide-format electron-optical image converters, this advantage is very substantial.
