It has been found that at the initial stage of a vacuum spark burning the "flashes" of a X-ray emission were generated. Dependence of the plasma electron temperature on a capacitor voltage has been obtained with a method of absorbers. The temperature lies within a range of 150-200 eV at the capacitor voltage been varied at the range of 0.6-1.5 keV. It has been established that intensity of the X-ray emission increases therewith more than two orders of magnitude. The revealed phe-nomenon is due obviously with formation of a neck because of a pinch effect within a boundary of a cathode plasma jet expanding into the ambient vacuum.
