Microminiature semiconductor coolers for radiation detectors

A review of new results in the area of film technologies for development of microminiature thermoelectric coolers for micro- and photo-electronics is given. The theoretical results of the nonlinear and non-local theory of thermoelectric phenomena in microminiature coolers are presented. The criteria of applicability of the traditional approach to the coolers calculation are suggested; the ways of improvement of their power characteristics are shown.
