Plate electrode’s heating by means of flowing electrical current in the process of welding with stationary melting electrode

   The numerical and analytical solution of general thermal problem of plate’s electrode heating by means of flowing electrical current was carried out. There are two heating sources during the process of heating: a source with uniformly distribution of specific power in electrode’s volume and a source with non-uniformly distribution of specific power in electrode’s volume. There was shown that maximum electrode’s heating zone is situated near the current’s drain and is provided by means of a source with non-uniformly distribution of specific power in electrode’s volume.
