Effective boundary conditions for the own slow surface electromagnetic waves of a thin annular magnetoactive plasma in a cylindrical metallic waveguide are obtained and substantiated. The obtained boundary conditions allow one to avoid the solution of wave equations in a plasma region when the own surface waves are described. Owing to this, the analytical investigation of the dispersion properties of plasma waveguides in an arbitrary magnetic field becomes possible. Some examples of using these boundary conditions for the investigation of surface waves with normal and anomalous dispersions are presented.
