Light propagation in scattering crystals

It is shown theoretically and experimentally that the methods of calculation of light attenuation on the basis
of Buger law may introduce essential errors into the characterization of optical parameters of scattering materials.
A method is proposed for the estimation of the relation between the probabilities of scattering and absorption
in optical crystals.
