AVLJS process of ytterbium vapor has been investigated by experimental and numerical methods. An optimal scheme of Yb atoms photoionization has been determined. The AVLJS mathematical model has been developed, which is correct as applied to the conditions of commercial isotope production. The AVUS dynamics of Yb has been optimized. It has been shown, the Yb vapor can be efficiently ionized if lasers frequencies detune from a frequency of radiative transitions near region two-photons resonance.
