Helium plasma flow interaction with neutral helium in divertor relevant conditions has been studied in the “Lenta” linear device. An intensive recombination process and high increase in radiation intensity from highly excited neutrals were observed. Physical model of radiation processes role in plasma-gas interaction is developed.
