Combined analysis of the experimental data for the polar ozone "holes" and midlatitude anomalies is presented. The common features and principal differecies of these phenonema are noted. The photochemical, meteorogical and dynamical mechanisms responsible for total ozone depletion are discussed. It is shown, that the role of different processes depends on the latitude. They are at least khown for the polar regions, however for the midlatitude anomalies the question is under consideration.
