In this work the long-wave limit of the effective electron-electron interaction arising from the Coulomb repulsion and the exchange of virtual longitudinally polarized phonons is considered. It is shown that the interaction through the exchange of virtual phonons leads to attraction of electrons, whose moment are near the Fermi surface, in contrast to the Coulomb one. The Thomas—Fermi screening mechanism by the electrons of the conductivity zone turns to be not effective for this interaction. Therefore the attraction through the exchange of virtual phonons essentially prevails the Coulomb repulsion in the limit under consideration. The character of the results obtained allows one to assume that they concern the high-temperature superconductivity problem.
