Temperature field formation by steady power pulsed source of heat is under consideration. It is stated that the law of variation of temperature function of pulsed source of heat coincides with the law of variation of the first derivative from temperature function of steady power source. This forms the basis of the known pulsed source temperature function formula used for the first derivative from temperature function of steady power source description. It enables to determine thermal diffusivity from the measuring results of the first derivative maximum peak achievement time, and volumetric heat capacity is determined under the measuring results of the same time and temperature maximum peak in the environment controlled point.
