Digital X-ray thomograph (angiograph) is the efficient system for examinations from head to foot using image-intensifier radiograhy. The rapid furher development of the digital method of image date acqusition and proccessing in X-ray radiology has reached the stage in whith digital radiograhy tody has become a universaly employed technique. The engineering is suitable for diagnosis and therapy both in urology and in the shock-wave tratment of gail stones. The combination of X-ray and ultrasound targeting allow broad application and thus high effeciency. Digitization of the image-intensifier television signal with high-resolution system can replace spotfilming or indirect X-ray radiograhy. The remote console incorporates aii the control function of the lithotripter. The varius functions, i.e., stone localization, X-ray system and electron control, high voltage selection, triggering, image processing and tabl motion. Digital engineering allows complex tasks in X-ray radiology such as: image reconstraction, image transfer and image storage, image display to be fulfilled optimally and it provides a convincing and appropriate solution to these problems.
