A new high sensitive television pickup tube with pyroelectric target, used electron beam current modulation effect by target element charge field, was designed (Pyroelectric modulation effect tube-REMET). Surface target charges, created by registered radiance induced temperature change, are modulate the flux of electrons deposited on target’s collector from scanning electron beam. This method of the output signal forming has been used in new design of the pick-up tube with reticulated target, made of deuterated triglycine-sulphate. Sensitivity of more 50 m A/W, resolution of 400 TV-lines per raster (22 TV-lines/mm) with modulation more than 60 % at 200 TV-lines, target operating temperatures from –10 to +50 oC have been achieved.
