The construction is submitted and the modes of operations of the compact high-current emitter of beams of the charged particles based on thresholdless controlled explosive emission are described. The electrons and the positively charged ions are extracted by an electrical field from of surface flashover plasma formed by the sliding electrical discharge on dielectrics with a high dielectric constant. The discharge is initiated by electrical explosion of cathode edge that is contiguous to dielectrics. At size of an extracting voltage ± 2 kV density of an emission current of electrons has reached 725 A/cm2, and of positively charged ions 325 A/cm2.
