The problem of the stability of a bounded plasma system, consisting of the electron and ion beams moving in opposite directions, is studied. The boundary conditions for the perturbations are chosen with allowance for the injection of the fixed velocities and densities beams in the planes of the conducting electrodes held at fixed potentials. THE Instability increment is studied as a function of the system length and the comparison is made with the similar dependence for the pierce instability in a case of one electron beam and a stationary ion background.
