The plasma parameters and the spectrum of pulse-periodic high-pressure cesium discharge are calculated. It is shown that the discharge may be used as an effective light source with recombination mechanism of radiation. The present modelling is performed in two-temperature approxima-tion. The results of calculations are compared with previous theories, which described the discharge in one-temperature approximation. It is shown that the value of maximum discharge voltage may be calculated correctly in two-temperature approximation only.
