Application of fracture mechanics criterion for residual
resource estimation of trunk pipelines

   Deterministic and halfdeterministic methods of residual resource estimation of trunk pipelines based on fracture mechanicscriterion are presented. The results of experimmental study of strength and fracture toughness characteristics of material on linear parts of trunk pipeline being exploited for more than 20 years are given. As an example,residual resourse of trunk pipeline containing such defects as dents, scatches, pits etc. is estimated.
